Shame on me!

I cannot believe I have not blogged in this long! I feel like I have been on a hamster wheel for the past year!Somebody please give me some incite on slowing down!!!! I celebrated my baby's birthday within the last month so now I officially have 2 teenagers! I am hoping to have a good 5 years with the both of them then I am retiring!God has been so faith full to my business.What recession?I am booked till July and beyond.
We are finally living in our house just us.Just the Vega's...shhh ...it's kinda nice!
I don't know why but lately I have been reflecting on our move to Ga.I really miss the people that I was close to and am grateful for them.I understand people flow in and out of your life.The term that certain people can only be in your life for a season comes up a lot. I am just missing some of the seasons.Hope to blog soon! C Ya!!!!!!

Back at Ya Jen

asked me to Post my Gumbo Recipe, since I don't follow one it may be a little hard.
Chicken sausage okra
I have this waiting on the side
1 onion cut
1 bell pepper cut
chicken breast cut
In a sauce pot I put 1/2 to one cup of oil high heat til its very hot then to med heat when I add abt 1/2 cup enriched flour (roux)I stir and stir and stir never leaving it until its dark brown abt 15min.Then immediately put the onions bell pepper turning off the fire.The roux will stop browning when you add this.When the vegetables are browned I put the fire on low and brown the chicken.whether whole cut up or breastcut up.When it is semi cooked I instantly put abt 4-5 cups of water.Cook on med heat for abt 45 min then I put 1 can of Trappeys okra in a can and the cut up sausage.Cook for abt 20 more min.At the end I sometimes put some green onion. That's it!.

I am older and much wiser now!I had a great day!I usually spend the day depressed that I was older and this year I spent it just being in a thankful place.I spent the whole day with people who love me .The calls ,texts,cards,and emails,were very amazing.I don't think I have enjoyed a day so much in a long time!So cheers to my Mom for having me,God for loving me, and to everyone else who had a part in the life of the FAB ANGIE VEGA!
